Use of Lifts

  1. Passenger carrying capacity of lift is 6 persons, each weighing 105 kg.
  2. The internal dimensions of lift car are:- Length – 1000 mm, width – 1100 mm, height – 2000 mm. Gate clearance after opening the collapsible door is 800 mm.
  3. Please switch off lights and fans while leaving the lift.
  4. Children incapable of operating the lift on their own should not use the lift without an accompanying adult.
  5. Very bulky and heavy packages / furniture should not be carried by the lift. The staircases should be used for transferring such materials.
  6. Instruct your wards and employees not to unnecessarily fiddle with buttons inside and outside the lifts.
  7. If the power goes off while the lift is in operation, it will come to a stop. There is a slight delay before the generator becomes operational and the lift can start up again. Please do not panic, the security will make sure the generator is switched on.
  8. A central lift alarm identification system has been set up in the Facility Manager’s Room. If you get struck in the Lift DO NOT PANIC, Press the lift alarm button and Wait for help, rescue operation will begin immediately.
  9. Do not dirty the lift by spitting, smearing ink or colours, writing, littering etc.
  10. Whenever a continuous beep sound is heard, the residents are advised to check out the lifts position in their floors because it indicates that it has not been closed properly.
  11. Never hold the lift unnecessarily, unless the purpose is loading/unloading things. Because your convenience may be some one else’s emergency and vice versa.
  12. Please take special care while shifting Steel Almirahs. While small Almirahs can go in the lift along with trolley, the bigger ones (6.5 feet) will have to be shifted through staircase only.
  13. Please take the assistance of the supervisor and ensure that the floor is not damaged due to dragging. Any damage caused by the shifters will be to the account of the owners only. The association will collect adequate compensation.
